Evaluation in General of Agrochemical Usage of Konya Farmer
Abstract
In this study we examined behaviors of farmes on plant protection applications in Konya province including Kon-ya center, Akşehir, Çumra and Ereğli during in the year 2000. For this purpose, as chosen randomly 70 farmers were asked questionnaire questions that formed from 13 questions and results evaluated as percent ratio.
The questionnaire results of farmers show that the general education level is low and they are not conscious about issues like plant protection, environmental health, natural equlibrium, ecology etc. Also we see that the farmes thend to use agricultural chemicals more than needed and there is neither a restricting arrangement nor a mechanism to control the use of agrochemicals.
