Regression Relations Between Nutriton Contents of Wheat Plant and Soil Roperties

Abstract

This investigation was carried out to determine the effects of soil properties on nutrition content of wheat plant. For this purpose, the total 30 soil samples were taken in depths of 0-20 and 20-40 cm of agricultural lands in April, 2001 and the 15 plant specimens in the fields where taken soil samples in June, 2001. In the soil samples, pH, EC, texture, lime, organic matter, N, P, K, Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn, in the plant specimens, N, P, K, Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn and B were analysed. Generally, the soils have loamy texture, slight alkaline, low salt content, middle lime and low organic matter. N, P, K, Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn averages of the soils were 113.13, 26.59, 515.56, 15.71, 5.68, 2.70 and 2.80 ppm, respectively. On the other hand, N, P, K (%), Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn (ppm) contents of the plants were determined as 1.34, 0.13, 2.19, 394.42, 24.19, 304.77, 36.80 and 18.65, respectively. Between soil properties and nutrition content of wheat plant were found significant regression relationships. r2 values calculated from regression equation were between 0.698-0.979; 0.712-1.00 and 0.687-0.959; in depth of 0-20 cm; 20-40 cm and 0-40 cm, respectively.
