The Effect of Different Parcel Size on Production Costs after Land Consalidation in Çumra District of Konya Province: Küçükköy Case
Abstract
The study was conducted in Küçükköy Village where it is situated in Konya Çumra region. The data were obtained from 33 farms 150 via survey techniques by use strafield random sampling statistical method. In addidation, date taken from vari-ous farmers and related institutions were also used.
Production costs were compared between farm size groups. According to the results, the saving was found as 16%, 19 % and 20%in been, wheat and sugar beet production costs respectively. In examine the returns, as the farm size increased gross income also increased. The gross incomes of been production were calculated as 167.093.000 TL/da, 158.421.000 TL/da and 170.715.000 TL/da in farm sizes of 0-5 ha, 5.1-15 ha and grater than the 15.1 ha respectively. This is same condition the other product.
