Karyotype Analyses of Some Pea (Pisum Sativum L.) Lines

Abstract

This research was carried out to determine karyotypes of six pea lines. Chromosome numbers, lenghts, branch indices, relative lengths and chromosome types of the peas were studied. In all lines chromosome number was 2n= (2x) = 14. Chro-mosome lenghts were between 3.05 – 5.00 m, while branch indices and relative lengths were between 0.38-0.98 and 5.72-9.08 respectively. Types of chromosomes have been found to be metacentric and submetacentric. One satellite was observed in 2 lines while the rest of the lines contained 2 satellites on two chromosomes.

Bazı Bezelye (Pisum Sativum L.) Hatlarında Karyotip Analizi

Abstract

Bu araştırma 6 adet bezelye (Pisum sativum L.) hattının karyotipini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bezelyelerin kromo-zom sayısı, kromozom boyları, kol indeksleri, oransal boyları ve kromozom tipleri belirlenmiştir. Bezelye hatlarının tamamın-da kromozom sayısı 2n=14 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Kromozom boyları 3.05-5.00m, kol indeksleri 0.38- 0.98, oransal boyları 5.72-9.08 arasında bulunmuştur. Kromozom tipleri metasentrik ve submetasentrik olarak belirlenmiştir. İncelenen tüm hatlar-da satelit bulunmakla birlikte 2 hatta birer çift satelitli kromozom ve diğer hatlarda 2’şer çift satelitli kromozom gözlenmiştir.
