Effects of Various Training Systems on The Yield and The Quality of Müşküle Grape (Vitis Vinifera L.) Grown in Umurbey-Çanakkale Conditions

Abstract

This study was carried out during 2003-2005 to determine the effects of training systems (uni-and bilateral cordon, 2-arm guyot) on Müşküle grape cultuvar grafted onto 5 BB grown in Umurbey Fruit Production Station, Çanakkale. From the 3- year data, vines trained to bilateral cordon system had more yield with better vegetative growth and quality compared to the other two training systems. It is therefore advised that Müşküle grape cultuvar should be trained to bilateral cordon system in Ça-nakkale region.
