Structural Conditions and Problems of Dairy Cattle Barns in Ereğli Vicinity

Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the constructional conditions and problems of dairy cattle barns in the vicinity of Ereğli. For this aim, 20 representative dairy cattle barns were selected. After the barns classified for the number of the sheltered animals, 55 and 30 % of the barns have 4-10 and 11-20 head of cows respectively. While 10 % of the barns have higher and 75 % of them have lower number of cows than their capacity, only 15 % of the barns keep the capacity. Ratios of one and double row barns were 15 and 85 % respectively. Environmental condi-tions were inadequate, especially cattle barns were not enough in dimension and there were some planning mistakes led to poor physical structures.

Ereğli Yöresi Süt Sığırı Barınaklarının Yapısal Durumu ve Sorunları

Abstract

Bu Çalışma Ereğli ilçesi ve köylerindeki bağlı-duraklı süt sığırı barınaklarının yapısal durumunun ve sorunlarının tespiti amacı ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada bölgeyi temsil edebilecek nitelikte 20 adet süt sığırı işletmesi seçilmiştir. Araştırma yapılan süt sığırı barınakları hayvan sayısına göre sınıflandırıldığında ahırların % 55’inde 4-10 adet, % 30’unda ise 11-20 adet hayvan bulunmaktadır. Ahırların % 15’inde kapasiteye uygun sayıda hayvan barındırılırken, % 10’unda kapasitenin üzerinde hayvan bulunmakta, geri kalan % 75’inde ise hayvan sayısı kapasitenin oldukça altındadır. Araştırılan barınakların % 15’i tek sıralı, % 85’i de çift sıralı olarak düzenlenmiştir. Araştırma sonunda barınaklarda planla-ma hatalarının bulunduğu, buna bağlı olarak da fiziki yapının yetersiz olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
