Increasing The Performance of Plc Controlled Pv-Battery-Solar Irrigation Pump System

Abstract

In the present study, a research was conducted in order to gain the optimum efficiency from the energy obtained from a PV-battery-solar pump system and from the use of the water provided with the help of this energy and to maintain the continui-ty of the system. Thus, a PLC-controlled automation system was developed which decided whether the PV panel or the battery existing in the PV-battery-solar pump system would feed the pump depending on the current value they could provide and which decided whether the pump would be operated or not according to the amount of water in the tank. It was seen that, alt-hough this system developed in the study increased the cost 10 % when compared to the direct-connected PV-Solar Pump system, it has the stability to supply the required amount of water.
