The Determination of Diseases and Pests Caused the Production Loss and Price Reduction in Wheat Production in Konya

Abstract

The target of this study is the determination of diseases and pests, which cause the production loss and price reduction in wheat production, according to wheat types in Konya research area. Two different materials were used in the study. One was the data obtained from the survey conducted to wheat producers in Konya, and the other was Konya Commodity Exchange’s (KCE) registers on the diseases and pests, which cause price reduction in wheat purchase. According to analysis results of the data obtained from KCE, suni / bug damage was the diseases and pests factor affected the prices of wheat types harvested in 2010 at the most. Suni / bug damage was determined in 98,50% of 666 analyzed wheat samples. The damage ratio of 61.26% of these samples was higher than the value used for price reduction in Turkish Grain Board (TGB) wheat purchase scale. Smut was only determined in one sample of this wheat type. According to the replies of surveyed wheat producers, the diseases caused production loss were rust, septoria leaf spot, crown and root rot, and the pest was suni and bug.

Konya İlinde Buğday Üretiminde Ürün Kaybına ve/veya Fiyat İndirimine Neden Olan Hastalık ve Zararlıların İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı araştırma bölgesi olan Konya ilinde buğday çeşitlerine göre buğday üretiminde ürün kaybına ve/veya fiyat indirimine neden olan hastalık ve zararlıların tespit edilmesidir. Çalışmada iki farklı materyal kullanılmıştır. Bunlardan biri araştırma bölgesi olan Konya ilinde yer alan buğday üreticilerinden anket yoluyla elde edilen veriler; diğeri ise Konya Ticaret Borsası’ndan elde edilen buğday alımında fiyat indirimine neden olan hastalık/zararlı tahribatına ait kayıtlardır. Konya Ticaret Borsası’ndan elde edilen verilere ait analiz sonuçlarına göre 2010 yılında hasat edilen buğday çeşitlerinde fiyatı en fazla etkileyen hastalık/zararlı etkeni süne/kımıl tahribatı olmuştur. Analiz sonuçları incelenen 666 buğday numunesinin %98.50’sinde süne/kımıl tahribatı görülmüş olup süne/kımıl tahribatı görülen numunelerden Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) buğday alım baremine göre fiyat indirimi uygulaması yapılan değerin üzerinde olanların oranı %61.26’dır. Anket uygulanan buğday üreticilerinin beyanlarına göre ürün kaybına ve/veya fiyat indirimine neden olan hastalıklar arasında pas, septorya yaprak lekesi, kök ve kök boğazı çürüklüğü; zararlılar arasında ise süne ve kımıl yer almaktadır
