Determination of Breaking Efficiency at Static and Dynamic States of Two-Axle Trailer
Abstract
In this research, breaking efficiency at static and dynamic states of four-wheeled trailer of three tons, which is produced in Konya region, was determined. In the experiments, at 10, 15 and 20 km h-1 forward speeds and empty, 50 % loaded, full loaded and 150 % loaded conditions were worked. While it increases of the trailer mass, breaking acceleration of the combination decreases. As a result of experiment, it was found that, breaking acceleration of trailer for each combination remained below 2.5 m s-2 which is the value suggested by TSE.
