The Effect of Farmyard Manure, Municipal Sludge and Their Mixtures on Some Macro Micro Nutrient Contents and Yield of Pasture Grass

Abstract

This field experiment was conducted to determine the effects of municipal sludge (MS), farmyard manure (FM) and the mixture of “sewage sludge + farmyard manure” a ratio of ¼ MS + ¾ FM (M1), ½ MS +½ FM (M2) and ¾ MS+¼ FM (M3 )on the yield some macro (N, P, K, Ca, Mg) and some micro (Zn, Mn, Cu, Pb, Cd) nutrient content of the pasture grass. These organic materials were incorporated into the soil at four different rates (0, 40, 80, and 120 kg ha-1) with three replications as a factorial experimental design. The experiment was run for two years. At the end of experiment, the results showed that the yield and some nutrient were increased by municipal sewage sludge (MS) in respect to control and other organic material applications. The fresh yield of pasture grass in municipal treatment increased 3.3 times compared to farmyard manure. Both yield and nutrient content of pasture grass increased at 40 ton ha-1 and 80 ton ha-1 applications. It was determined that the sludge applications have increased grass fresh weight total N and K contents compared to control treatment. On the other hand, Mn contents of plants decreased with the sewage sludge applications as compar-ing to the control and these decreases were found significant differences (p<0.01). However, the P, Ca, and Mg contents of grass showed significant differences (p<0.01) among the applications. At the end of the experiment, the results showed that the yield and some plant nutrients were increased by addition of municipal sludge (MS) compared to FM. Other applications were also increased the fresh yield significantly (p<0,01). Similarly, some plant nutrient contents of the pasture grass were also increased with the applications of 40 and 80 ton ha-1.

Toprağa Uygulanan Arıtma Çamuru, Ahır Gübresi ve Karışımlarının, Çim Bitkisinin Bazı MakroMikro Besin Elementleri ve Verimi Üzerine Etki

Abstract

Bu arazi çalışması, evsel karakterli arıtma çamurunun (AÇ), ahır gübresi (AG) ve AÇ+AG’nin üç farklı karışımlarının (¼AÇ+¾AG, ½AÇ+½AG ve ¾AÇ+¼AG), çim bitkisinde bazı makro (N, P, K, Ca, Mg) ve mikro (Zn, Cu, Mn, Pb, Cd) element içerikleri ile verim üzerine etkilerini belirlenmek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Deneme, dört farklı oranda toprağa (0, 40, 80 ve 120 t/ha) organik materyal uygulaması yapılarak, iki yıl süreyle arazi koşullarında üç tekerrürlü olarak faktöriyel deneme deseninde yürütülmüştür. Deneme sonunda, arıtma çamuru uygulamasının çim bitkisinin verim ve bazı besin elementleri içeriğini kontrol ve diğer organik materyal uygulamalarına göre artırdığı görülmüştür. Çim bitkisinin taze ağırlığı çamur uygulamasında ahır gübresine oranla 3.3 kez arttığı görülmüştür. Öte yandan 40 ve 80 ton ha-1uygulamalarında hem verim hem de besin kapsamı artmıştır. Çamur uygulamaları çim bitkisinin N ve K içeriğini kontrol uygulamasına göre artırmıştır. Diğer taraftan bitkinin mangan muhtevası çamur uygulaması ile azalmış ve bu değişim istatistiki açıdan önemli (p<0.01) bulunmuştur. P,Ca, ve Mg bakımından da uygulamalar arasındaki fark önemli(p<0.01) bulunmuştur. Deneme sonunda sonuçlar, verim ve bazı besin elementleri içeriklerinin ahır gübresi uygulamasına göre, arıtma çamuru uygulamasında artışlar olduğunu göstermiştir. Diğer uygulamalarda ise çim bitkisinin taze ağırlığını önemli ölçüde artırmıştır. Benzer şekilde, çim bitkisinin bazı besin elementi muhtevası hektara 40 ve 80 ton uygulamaları ile artmıştır.
