Abstract
In this research, the gestation length and the effects of some environmental factors such as dam age, lamb birth type, sex and birth weight on the gestation period of Konya Merino sheep raised in Bahri Dağdaş International Animal Research Institute were investigated. The least squares mean of gestation length was calculated as 151.497±0.4493 days. Among of investigated factors, dam age significantly affected the gestation length (P<0.01), despite non significant effect of birth type, lamb sex and birth weight.

Bu araştırmada Bahri Dağdaş Uluslararası Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü Müdürlüğü’nde yetiştirilmekte olan Konya Merinosu koyunlarda gebelik süresi ve bu süre üzerine ana yaşı, kuzu doğum tipi, cinsiyeti ve doğum ağırlığı gibi bazı çevre faktörlerinin etkileri incelenmiştir. Gebelik süresine ilişkin en küçük kareler ortalaması 151.497±0.4493 gün olarak hesaplanmıştır. İncelenen faktörlerden ana yaşının gebelik süresi üzerine etkileri önemli (P<0.01), kuzu doğum tipi, kuzu doğum ağırlığı ve cinsiyetin etkileri ise önemsiz bulunmuştur.
