Van Gölü Havzası’ndan Toplanan Bazı Kavun Genotiplerinin Verim ve Verim Özelliklerin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma 2002 yılında Yüzüncü Yıl Üniversitesi, Ziraat Fakültesi, Bahçe Bitkileri Bölümü’nde yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada 2001 yılında Van Gölü Havzası’ndan (Van Merkez, Edremit, Gevaş, Erciş, Muradiye ilçeleri ile Erçek Beldesi ve Bitlis-Tatvan ilçesi) surveyler sonucu toplanan 53 kavun genotipinin verim ve bazı verim öğelerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bunun için 2002 Nisan ayında cam serada viyollere ekimi yapılan tohumlardan elde edilen her genotip-ten sağlıklı 20 fide tarla koşullarındaki deneme parsellerine dikilmiştir. Deneme boyunca kavun genotipleri, meyve ağırlığı, meyve eni, meyve boyu, meyve eti kalınlığı, kabuk kalınlığı, meyve şekli, kabuk yapısı, kabuk rengi, dilimlilik, meyve eti rengi, tat, koku özellikleri dikkate alınarak tartılı derecelendirme metoduna göre değerlendirilmiştir. Tartılı derecelendirme sonucu mevcut veriler ışığı altında, verim ve tat unsurları ön planda tutularak, önem sırasına göre 65 ER 02, 65 ER 07, 65 ER 03, 65 ERÇ 01, 65 ERÇ 05, 65 ER 08, 13 TAT 05, 65 ER 04, 65 ERÇ 15, 65 EDR 01 genotipleri ileriki yıllardaki çalışmalar için ümitvar bulunmuşlardır. Bu genotipleri önem sırasına göre 65 ER 05, 65 ER 11, 65 ERÇ 12, 65 MER 07, 65 ERÇ 10 nolu genotipler izlemişlerdir.

Determination of Yield and Related Traits of Melon Genotypes Collected from Lake Van Basin

Abstract

This study was carried out at the Horticulture Department of the Agriculture Faculty of Yuzuncu Yıl University in 2002. It aimed to determine the yield and related traits of the 53 melon genotypes collected from the Lake Van Basin (Central, Edremit, Gevaş, Erciş, Muradiye and Erçek towns of Van province and Tatvan town of Bitlis province) based on the surveys in 2001. The seeds of the melon genotypes were sown into pots placed in glasshouse in April 2002, and the 20 healthy seedlings were transplanted into the trial field plots. The melon genotypes were evaluated based on weighted scale method in terf of their traits such as fruit weight, fruit width, fruit length, flesh width, skin width, fruit shape, skin structure, skin color, skin stripe, flesh color, taste, and flavor. The results of the weighted scale method based on the yield and quality traits, the genotypes 65 ER 02, 65 ER 07, 65 ER 03, 65 ERÇ 01, 65 ERÇ 05, 65 ER 08, 13 TAT 05, 65 ER 04, 65 ERÇ 15, 65 EDR 01 were found to be more hopeful for the future studies. These genotypes were followed by the genotypes 65 ER 05, 65 ER 11, 65 ERÇ 12, 65 MER 07, 65 ERÇ 10.
