Determination of Braking Efficiency of Homemade Four-Wheeled Trailers at Static Conditions

Abstract

The aim of this study is to calculate the production of braking force transmis- sion system of four-wheeled trailer, and to measure the braking moment on wheel at the different press forces applied on drawbar eye. In tests, trailers belongs to three different manufacturer were used. According to the results, the transmission rate of braking force transmission systems varied from 4.74 to 6.95 The slip way distance and braking moment as on depending on the press forces applied to draw- bar eye increased. The braking moment varied from 0.344 kNm to 1.746 kNm. The biggest braking moment was found on TA3 with the highest transmission rate of the braking force transmission system.
