A Simple Regression Model for Diagnosis of Histic Epipedon from Clay Content of Mineral Fraction

Abstract

This the thoretical study was purposed to develope a simple regression model for diagnosis of histic epipedon from clay content percent of mineral fraction. For this purpose, to soil taxonomy data developed by Soil Survey Staff (1994) was used. Relationships between ogranic carbon percent ** (Y1) and clay content percent ** (x) of mineral fraction; Y₁ = 12+0.1x equation was estabilished. If histic epipedon was mixed to a depth of 25 cm, relationships between organic carbon percent (Y2) and clay content percent (x) of mineral fraction; Y2 = 8+0.1333x equation was estabilised.
