A Study on the Relationship Between Hydraulic Conductivity Values Measured in the Field and Drainable Pore Volume Determined Under Laboratory Conditions

Abstract

The aim of this study to determine the relationships between soil drairable porosity under laboratory conditions and the hydraulic conductivity it of determined under and above the water table in the field conditions. For this purpose, the soil samples were taken from 8 different soil profils and the hydraulic conductivity were determined on the 15 different point in the same fields. According to the results of the investigation, the lineer regression equations have been defined between the drainable porosity and the hidrolik conductivity of the soil determined above and under the level of water table. The lineer equations have been statisticaly important (P<0.01 and P<0.05).
