Akkaraman Toklularında Canlı Ağırlık, Skrotum Çevresi ve Testis Hacmi Arasındaki İlişkiler

Abstract

Araştırma, 11-12 aylık yaştaki 44 baş Akkaraman toklusu üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Canlı ağırlık, sktrotum çevresi ve testis hacmi ortalama- ları, sırasıyla 39.67 kg, 26.26 cm ve 197.15 cm³ olarak hesaplanmıştır. Canlı ağırlıkla sktrotum çevresi ve testis hacmi arasındaki korelasyon katsayıları, sırasıyla 0.324 (P < 0.05) ve 0.406 (P < 0.01) dır. Skrotum çevresi ile testis hacmi arasındaki korelasyon katsayısı ise ( r = 0.453 , P < 0.01 ) pozitif ve önemli bulunmuştur.

Relationships Among Live Weight, Scrotal Circumference and Testis Size in Akkaraman Yearling Rams

Abstract

Live weight (LW), scrotal circumference (SC) and testis size (TS) were measured at necropsy of 44 Akkaraman yearling rams. The average values of LW, SC and TS were 39.67 kg, 26.26 cm and 197.15 cm³, respectively. The correlation coefficients of LW to SC and to TS were 0.324 (P < 0.05) and 0.406 (P < 0.01) respectively. The correlation coefficient between SC and TS was positive and significant ( r = 0.43 , P<0.01).
