Seed Yield and Yield Components of Common Vetch (Vicia sativa L.) Lines Selected from Natural Vegetation

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the yield and yield components of common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) lines which was selected from natural vegetation. 17 vetch lines and 4 vetch varieties as controls were used in all experiments. Biological yield, seed yield, protein content and yield, number of pods per plant and seed number per pood, werc determined. According to the mean values of two years, the highest seed yield was obtained from F-116 line (0.602 t/ha) and the highest biological yield was from F-1 line (2.132 t/ha).
