Investigating The Expectation Meeting Ratio of Partners: The Case of Edirne Province Agricultural Development / Irrigation Cooperatives
Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyse the expectations and current status of the members of the Agricultural Development Cooperative and Irrigation Cooperatives in Edirne province from the cooperatives. The Expectation Meeting Ratio (EMR), which is calculated by evaluating the expectations and current status, is used as a performance indicator for cooperatives. The main material of the study consists of 165 survey data based on face-to-face interviews with cooperative members. While the highest expectation in administrative issues is about “The management being composed of competent people” (4.81 points), the subject where the expectation is met the most is “The management’s behaviour towards members” (93.15%). It has been determined that the subject with the highest expectation in economic and social issues is “Increase in the income of the members” (4.85 points) and the position where the expectation is met the most is “Provision of input supply” (87.63%). When the current status of administrative, economic and social issues is examined according to the cooperative of which the member is; It was determined that the average values of the subjects of “Defining the job descriptions, authorities and responsibilities of the employees” and “Providing training to the partners” were statistically significantly higher in Agricultural Credit Cooperatives than in Irrigation Cooperatives (p<0.05).
