Bazı Kil Tiplerinin Bor Adsorpsiyon Kapasitelerinin Belirlenmesi

Year 2003, Volume: 17 Issue: 31, 41 - 47, 25.06.2003

Abstract

Determination of Boron Adsorpsiyon Capacity of Some Clay Types

Year 2003, Volume: 17 Issue: 31, 41 - 47, 25.06.2003

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine boron adsorption isotherm for different pH values of some clay types where founded the most in the soils of Central Anatolia Region. For this purpose, two different samples smectit and Paligorskit + kaolinit were used.
Langmiur and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models first were evaluated and Langmiur model was determined more appropriate comparison to Freundlich.
In both samples, the pH of solution was highly effective on boron adsorption and as the pH increased, boron ad-sorption also increased. The lowest boron adsorption determined from k and b parameters in Langmiur isotherm for pure smektit sample was obtained at pH 7 (8.60 μg B g-1) and the greatest binding energy (k) was seen at pH 10 (50.45 ml μg-1). In sample contained Paligorskit + kaolinit, the lowest boron adsorption was at pH 5 (5.58 μg B g-1) whereas, the highest energy was determined at pH 10 (51.36 ml μg-1)
