Mutation Breeding of Vegetatively Propagated Plants

Year 2003, Volume: 17 Issue: 31, 62 - 67, 25.06.2003

Abstract

The common objectives as usually breeding programs are to produce locally adapted, high yielding cultivars with quality that is desirable for the intended use.
Besides the segregation of characteristics due to sexual reproduction, natural and induced mutations are important sources of variation in a lot of plants. In this study, by using many mutagenics, the evidence of the general principle of mutation breeding and variation in the vegetatively propagated plants have been intended.

Vegetatif Olarak Üretilen Bitkilerde Mutasyon Islahi

Year 2003, Volume: 17 Issue: 31, 62 - 67, 25.06.2003
