Effect of Salinity and Humic Acid on Different Varieties of Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Abstract

This study has been carried out in the greenhouse condition and it was aim to study the effect of humic acid in different bread wheat varieties (two Sudan varieties: Imam and Wadi Elnil, two Turkey varieties: Bezostaya-1 and Konya-2002) under salinity condition. In addition, two salinity levels (control and %0.40 NaCl) besides, K-Humate was used at (control, 200 mg kg-1 ). The experiment was laid out in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replicates. The results showed that reactions of the varieties were changed depending on the applications of salt (T2), K-Humat (T1) and both salt and K-Humate (T3) compared to the control, EC value and Na content of the soil, MDA content of the varieties were increased. Furthermore, it has been found that application of K-Humate from organic source has an effect on increasing plant growth through eliminating negative effects of salt.

Tuz ve K-Humat Uygulamasına Farklı Ekmeklik Buğday (Triticum aestivum L.) Çeşitlerinin Tepkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışma farklı ekmeklik buğday (iki adet Sudan çeşidi: Imam ve Wadi Elnil ve iki Türk çeşidi: Bezostaya-1 ve Konya-2002) çeşitlerinin tuz ve K-Humat uygulamalarına tepkilerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla serada yürütülmüştür. Tesadüf parselleri deneme desenine göre üç tekerrürlü yürütülen denemede tuz (kontrol, %0.40 NaCl) ve K-Humat (kontrol, 200 mg kg-1) kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, uygulamalara bağlı olarak çeşitlerin tepkilerinin değiştiğini, sadece tuz uygulaması (T2), K-Humat uygulaması (T1) ve tuz ile birlikte K-Humat (T3) uygulamalarının (T1) kontrole göre değişimi incelendiğinde, toprağın EC değerini, çeşitlerin MDA kapsamları ve toprağın Na kapsamınınarttığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca organik kaynaklı K-Humat uygulamasının tuzun olumsuz etkilerini bertaraf ederek bitki gelişimini artırıcı yönde etki yaptığı tespit edilmiştir.
