Determination of Pesticide Residues in Some Vegetable Species by LC-MS/MS and GC-MS

Abstract

In this research, 203 different pesticides’ residue levels were investigated in tomatoes, pepers and eggplants vegetable samples which taken from local markets and wholesale markets in Konya City. Vegetable sample extractions were per-formed in Selcuk University Agricultural Faculty laboratories of both departments of Horticulture and Crop sciences, while LC-MS/MS and GC-MS analysis were conducted in the Organic Agricultural Products and Residue Analysis La-boratory of Republic of Turkey Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Izmir Province Control Laboratory. According to conducted results, Oxamyl which is completely prohibited was found in a sample of tomato that this value exceeds about 7 times the limit value given (10.0 μg/kg) in Turkish Food Codex; two different pesticides was found in a sample of pepper (112.0 μg/kg Ethion ve 75.0 μg/kg Triazophos); Benomyl-carbendazim (TFC tolerance value 100.0 μg/kg) was found to be 120.0 μg/kg in another sample of pepper. Ten eggplant samples which are taken to the experi-ment, Oxamyl which is completely prohibited, was determined as 107.0 μg/kg in a sample of eggplant that this value exceeds about 11 times the limit value. Hovewer, imidiacloprid (TFC tolerance value 20.0 μg/kg) values were found to be 49.0, 190.0 ve 64.0 μg/kg in three eggplant samples respectively.

LC-MS/MS ve GC-MS’ le Bazı Sebze Türlerinde Pestisit Kalıntılarının Tespiti

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Konya yöresinde halkın tüketimine sunulan mahalli pazarlar ve marketlerden toplanan domates, biber ve patlıcan sebze örneklerinde 203 adet pestisitin kalıntı düzeylerinin belirlenmesine yönelik olarak yapılmıştır. Sebze örneklerinin ekstraksiyonları Selçuk Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Bahçe Bitkileri ve Tarla Bitkileri Bölümlerine ait laboratuvarlarda, kalıntı analizleri ise T.C. Tarım ve Köyişleri Bakanlığı, İzmir İl Kontrol Laboratuvar Müdürlüğü’nün Organik Tarım Ürünleri ve Kalıntı Analiz Laboratuvarı’nda LC-MS/MS ve GC-MS cihazlarında yapılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, bir domates örneğinde kullanımı tamamen yasak olan Oxamyl (TGK tolerans değeri 10.0 μg/kg)’in yaklaşık 7 kat bir değerde olduğu; bir biber örneğinde iki farklı pestisitin (112.0 μg/kg Ethion ve 75.0 μg/kg Triazophos) bulunduğu; bir başka biber örneğinde de 120 μg/kg Benomyl-carbendazim’ in TGK’nın tolerans değeri olan 100.0 μg/kg değerinin üzerinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Denemeye alınan 10 adet patlıcan numunesin-de ise, kullanımı yasaklanmış Oxamyl’in yaklaşık 11 kat yani 107.0 μg/kg düzeyinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bunun yanında 3 farklı patlıcan örneğinde de Imidiacloprid (TGK tolerans değeri 20.0 μg/kg) sırasıyla 49.0, 190.0 ve 64.0 μg/kg düzeylerinde bulunmuştur.
