The Effects of Different Sowing Dates on Vegetation Duration and G.D.D. (Growing Degree Days) for Different Development Stages of "TTM-813" Hybrid Corn Variety in Konya Ecological Condition

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effects of different sowing dates on vegetation duration and GDD (Growing Degree Days) for different development stages of "TTM-813" hybrid corn variety in Konya ecological conditions in 1984. The research was aranged to split plot experimental design with three replications. In the research, vegetation duration and GDD for seedling emergence, stem elongation, tasseling and silking time, the duration between silking and harvesting time and the duration between sowing and harvesting time were determined. The effects of different sowing dates were significant statistically on vegetation duration and GDD for different development stages mentioned above. The results showed that maize plant required the certain GDD units for completing development in Konya ecological condition.

Konya Ekolojik Koşullarında "TTM-813" Melez Mısır Çeşidinde Farklı Ekim Zamanlarının Değişik Büyüme Dönemleri İçin Gerekli Vejetasyon Süresi ve G.D.D. (Sıcaklık Toplamı) Üzerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Konya ekolojik şartlarında 1994 yılında farklı ekim zamanı uygulamalarında "TTM-813" melez mısır çeşidinin değişik büyüme dönemleri için gerekli vejetasyon süresi ve G.D.D. (sıcaklık toplamı) değerlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma bölünmüş parseller deneme desenine göre 3 tekerrürlü olarak kurulmuştur. Araştırmada fide çıkışı, sapa kalkma, tepe ve koçan püskülü çıkarma tarihleri, koçan püskülü-hasat ve ekim-hasat arası büyüme dönemleri için gerekli vejetasyon süresi ve buna karşılık gelen G.D.D. değerleri belirlenmiştir. Farklı ekim zamanlarının yukarıda sayılan büyüme dönemleri için gerekli vejetasyon süresi ve G.D.D. değerleri üzerine etkisi istatistiki açıdan önemli bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonuçları, Konya ekolojik koşullarında melez mısırın ekim tarihi farkı da olsa gelişmesini tamamlayabilmesi için belli bir G.D.D. değerine ihtiyaç duyduğunu göstermiştir.
