Sessiz İstifa Yaşam Tatminini Koruyan Bir Dinamik Mi? Sessiz İstifa, Yaşam Tatmini ve Demografik Değişkenlerin Etkileşimi Üzerine Nicel Bir Araştırma

Year 2025, Volume: 28 Issue: 2, 421 - 438, 30.11.2025

Abstract

Is quiet quitting a dynamic that protects life satisfaction? A Quantitative Study of the Interaction between Quiet Quitting, Life Satisfaction and Demographic Variables

Year 2025, Volume: 28 Issue: 2, 421 - 438, 30.11.2025

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the interaction between quiet quitting and life satisfaction. In the study, 336 employees were surveyed to determine the relationship between quiet quitting and life satisfaction. The results revealed that quiet quitting increased with the increase in life satisfaction. In addition, while life satisfaction of married individuals was significantly higher than single individuals, significant differences were observed between life satisfaction and quiet quitting according to age and income level. It was observed that as age and income level increased, life satisfaction and quiet quitting tendencies also increased. This research makes an original contribution by examining the interaction between quiet quitting and life satisfaction, which has not been directly addressed in the literature before. In the literature, it is known that quiet quitting is prevalent among young people, whereas in this study, it is found that older employees tend to resign more often. As a result, it can be suggested to develop effective and applicable solutions in line with the theoretical frameworkof life satisfaction and quiet quitting. In this way, employees can be prevented from resorting to quiet quitting in their search for life satisfaction.
