Finansal Gelişme, Finansal Yapı ve Gelir Eşitsizliği

Abstract

Gelir dağılımında adaleti sağlamak her devletin ilgilendiği temel iktisadi meselelerin başında gelmektedir. Bu bağlamda finansal gelişme ile gelir eşitsizliği arasındaki ilişki 1990’lardan günümüze artan bir şekilde tartışılmaktadır. Ampirik literatürde finansal gelişmenin gelir eşitsizliği üzerindeki etkisi ile ilgili birbirinden farklı sonuçlar ortaya konulmaktadır. Bu farklılığı ülkelerin finansal yapılarının aynı olmaması ile açıklayan çalışmalar söz konusudur. Çalışmada ülkelerin finansal yapıları Demirguc-Kunt ve Levine tarafından ortaya konulan finansal yapı endeksi ile 2000-2012 dönemi için oluşturulmuştur. 1990-1995 dönemi için tespit edilmiş olan finansal yapı endeksi değerleri baz alınarak bu iki dönem karşılaştırılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre gelir dağılımında adaleti sağlamada ileri düzeyde hukuk sistemi ile birlikte o ülke içi dinamikler göz önünde tutularak optimal bir finansal yapı oluşturulduğunda daha sağlıklı neticeler alınabileceği düşünülmektedir.
