Dr. Sumaiya Hamdani ile İslam Tarihi, Şia Tarihi ve İsmaili Araştırmalar Üzerine Söyleşi

Abstract

Bu mülakat, İslam Tarihi, Şia Tarihi, İsmaili gelenek ve akademinin yanı sıra Dr. Sumaiya Hamdani'nin hayatı üzerinedir. Hamdani, ABD, Virginia'da bulunan George Mason Üniversitesi'nin Tarih ve Sanat Tarihi Bölümü'nde görev yapmaktadır. Kendisi Davudi, Tayyibi İsmaili bir aileden gelmektedir. Bu mülakatın amacı, Amerika'da yaşayan bir akademisyenin gelenek, İslam Tarihi, İsmaili Tarihi ve akademik çalışmalara dair görüşerini, bir örnek oluşturması açısından, okuyucuya sunmaktır.

A Conversation with Dr. Sumaiya Hamdani on Islamic History, Shiite History, and Ismaili Studies

Abstract

This conversation is on Dr. Sumaiya Hamdani's life, as well as Islamic history, Shiite
history, Ismaili tradition, and academia. She 
is an Associate Professor in the History and Art History Department of
George Mason University, Virginia.
 Hamdani comes from a Dawoodi/Tayyibi Ismaili family. The aim of this paper is to bring the
view of an academician who is living in America, on tradition, Islamic history, Ismaili history, and academic studies to the reader.
