Nedim Sünbülzade Vehbi Çadır Otağ Sünbülzȃde Vehbi Tent Sultan
Literary works bear traces of the period in which they were written. The works in the field of Divan Literature also contain some elements of the social and cultural life of the period in which they were written. In our study, we have revealed the usage patterns of tent, which is one of these elements, in Divan poetry with sample couplets and bends. This study was carried out with the aim of revealing that Divan Poetry is a field that reflects art, history and social life and contributing to academic studies on this subject.In our study, we have taken as basis the 18th century poets Nedim and Sünbülzade Vehbi Divans, as they contain couplets and bents in which the tent is mentioned, and because it contains more examples than other poets on this subject. In our study, after giving information about the concept of tent and its history , the poems that include the tent element were explained and examined. In the couplets and bends in the said divans, it is stated that the tent is formed as an elements of simile and is associated with different concepts and elements; However, we have revealed that these poems contain information about the establisments and construction phase of the tent and the decorative arts used in the sultan’s tents
