A Schizophrenic Adolescent Male With Urethral Parameatal Cyst

Abstract

Here we report a case of parameatal urethral cyst in a 17-year-old schizophrenic boy which is a very rare antity. He referred to us from psychiatry polyclinic for his obstructive urine symptoms. On physical examination, a cystic mass about 1.5 × 2 cm in diameter was found at the external urethral meatus. He underwent a complete excision of the cyst with total removal of the epithelium. We think that complete surgical excision is necessary to obtain good cosmetic results without recurrence for these patients.

Şizofreni Tanılı Adolesan Bir Erkekte Parameatal Üretra Kisti

Abstract

Çok nadir bir anomali olan parameatal üretral kistli 17 yaşında şizofrenik bir erkek çocuk olgusu sunulmaktadır. Olgu psikyatri polikliniğinden ürolojiye obstrüktif idrar yakınmaları nedeniyle refere edilmiştir. Hastanın fizik muayenesinde eksternal meatusta, yaklaşık 1.5 × 2 cm büyüklüğünde kistik bir kitle tespit edildi. Komplet bir cerrahi kist eksizyonu ile epitelyum total olarak ortadan kaldırıldı. Bu hastalarda, nüks olmadan iyi bir kozmetik sonuç elde etmek için komplet cerrahi eksizyonun gerekli olduğunu düşünmekteyiz.
