Amyand hernia: Two cases report

Abstract

Inguinal hernia and acute appendicitis are more common problems in surgery and emergecy services. Rarely this two problems can be together and can cause diagnostic confusion. In this paper, we presented two cases who operated with the diagnosis of strangulated inguinal hernia and detected acute appendicitis, hereby, we aimed to remind that the amyand hernia diagnosis which is a rare clinical presentation.

Amyand fıtığı: İki olgu sunumu

Abstract

Karın duvarı fıtıkları ve akut apandisit genel cerrahi kliniklerinde ve acil servislerde sık görülen cerrahi hastalıklar olmakla beraber birliktelikleri nadir görülür. Bu durum tanı karmaşasına neden olabilmektedir. Amyand hernisi, fıtık kesesi içinde apendiks vermiformisin bulunması olarak tanımlanır. Fıtık kesesi içerisinde akut apandisit ile karşılaşılması ise çok daha nadir görülen bir durumdur. Bu yazıda inkarsere inguinal herni tanısı ile acil şartlarda ameliyat edilen ve herni kesesi içerisinde akut apandisit saptanan iki olguyu sunarak nadir bir klinik tablo olan amyand herni tanısını hatırlatmayı amaçladık.
