A Rare ethıology of acute abdomen syndrome ın chıldhood: Prımary Torsıon of the Greater Omentum – A Case Report

Abstract

Primary torsion of the greater omentum is a rare ethiology of acute abdomen syndrome in children. An eight year old boy was admitted to our clinic with the complaints of sudden onset abdominal pain and vomiting. The patient was urgently operated because of acute abdomen syndrome diagnosis. Torsion of the omentum majus identified as the primary etiology of the patient underwent excision of the omentum. This case has been reported because of its rare incidance.

Abstract

Primer omentum torsiyonu çocuklarda nadir görülen bir akut batın sendromu etyolojisidir. Sekiz yaşında erkek çocuk ani başlayan karın ağrısı ve kusma şikayetleri ile başvurdu. Akut batın sendromu tanısı ile acil şartlarda ameliyat edildi. Etyoloji olarak primer omentum majus torsiyonu saptanan hastaya omentum eksizyonu ameliyatı uygulandı. Olgu; primer omentum torsiyonunun çocukluk çağında nadir görülmesi nedeniyle sunuldu.
