Ruh Sağlığı Güven Ölçeği: Türkçe Geçerlik ve Güvenilirlik Çalışması

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada Ruh Sağlığı Güven Ölçeği (RSGÖ) Türkçeye çevrilerek geçerlik ve güvenirliğinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmanın örneklemi, ölçekte yer alan madde sayısının 10 katı olacak şekilde araştırmanın yürütüldüğü Toplum Ruh Sağlığı Merkezi’nde tedavi görmekte olan toplam 160 hasta olarak belirlenmiştir. Ölçeğin orijinal geliştirme çalışmasını yapan birinci yazardan yazılı izin alınmıştır. Etik kurul izni ve kurum izni alınmıştır. Ölçeğin İngilizce‘den Türkçe’ye dil uyarlaması yapılmıştır. Hastalara Ruh Sağlığı Güven Ölçeği ve Ruh Sağlığı İyileşme Ölçeği (RSİÖ) uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerlik ve güvenirliği test edilmiştir.
Bulgular: Ruh Sağlığı Güven Ölçeği puan ortalamasının 57,39±17,17arasında olduğu bulunmuştur. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi, ölçek puanlarının gösterdiği toplam varyansın %68’ini açıklayan tek faktörlü bir yapı önermiştir. Her bir maddenin düzeltilmiş madde toplam puan korelasyon katsayıları 0,50 düzeyinin üzerinde bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alfa iç tutarlık katsayısı 0,93 olarak bulunmuştur. RSGÖ; RSİÖ ile yüksek düzeyde pozitif yönde (r= 0,737; p=0,001) korelasyon göstermiştir.
Sonuç: Ruh Sağlığı Güven Ölçeği Türkçe formunun iç tutarlılığının yüksek bulunması hem güvenirliğini hem de geçerliliğini destekleyen bir bulgu olarak yorumlanmıştır. Veriler, RSGÖ’nin Türkçe formunun hastaların Ruh Sağlığı Güven eğilimlerini değerlendirmek konusundaki geçerliğini destekleyen kanıtlar sağlamıştır.

Mental Health Confidence Scale: Turkish Validity and Reliability Study

Abstract

Objective: The present study aims to translate into Turkish and investigate the validity and reliability of the Mental Health Confidence Scale(MHCS).
Material Methods: The sample for the study consisted of a total of 160 patients receiving treatment at the Community Mental Health Center where the study was conducted, which is 10 times the number of items on the scale. Written permission was obtained from the first author who conducted the original development study of the scale. Ethical committee approval and institutional permission were obtained. The scale was adapted from English into Turkish. The Mental Health Safety Scale and the Mental Health Recovery Scale (MHRM) were administered to the patients. The validity and reliability of the scale were tested.
Results: The mean MHCS total score was estimated at 57.39±17.17. Exploratory factor analysis revealed one single robust factor explaining 68% of the variance of the total scores. Alfa internal consistency coefficient was calculated as 0.93 and corrected item-total correlation coefficients were entirely above 0.50. The MHCS scores showed positive and strong correlations with the MHRM (r= 0.737; p=0.001).
Conclusion: The high internal consistency of the Turkish version of the Mental Health Confidence Scale was interpreted as a finding supporting both its reliability and validity. The data provided evidence supporting the validity of the Turkish version of the MHRM in assessing patients' Mental Health Confidence tendencies.
