Abstract
Amaç:
Tinnitus vücut dışında
bir ses kaynağından kaynaklanmadan hissedilen, devamlı veya aralıklı olabilen
zil sesi, vızıltı, ıslık sesi ve benzeri şekillerde tarif edilen seslerdir. Tinnitusun
iki tipi vardır: Objektif ve subjektif tinnitus. Subjektif tinnitus daha sık
görülür ve etyolojisi net değildir. Bu çalışmamızda subjektif tinnitusta tiroid
fonksiyon bozukluğunun etyolojide yeri olup olmadığını araştırmayı amaçladık. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Nöroloji kliniğinde
etyolojik nedeni belirlenemeyen subjektif tinnitus nedeni ile takip edilen
hastalar retrospektf olarak incelendi. 35 hasta ve 35 sağlıklı kontrol arasında
tiroid stimulan hormon (TSH) değerleri karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Hasta ve
kontrol grupları yaş ve cinsiyet açısından benzer saptanmıştır. Hasta grubunda
TSH ortalaması kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı yüksek bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Bir tarama testi olarak kullanılan TSH’nın idiyopatik subjektif
tinnitusu olan hastalarda gözden geçirilmesi ve altta yatan olası tiroid
patolojileri açısından hastaların değerlendirilmesi önerilir.
