Cerrahi Alan Enfeksiyonlarını Önlemede El Yıkama Tekniklerinin Yeri ve Önemi

Abstract

Günümüzde sağlık bakım hizmeti ile ilişkili enfeksiyonların görülme oranı önemli ölçüde azalmış olsa da hala morbidite ve mortaliteyi arttıran önemli sağlık sorunlarından biridir. Cerrahi alan enfeksiyonları (CAE) sık görülen hastane kaynaklı enfeksiyonlardan olup sağlık bakım profesyonellerinin birçok sorunla başa çıkmasını gerektirmektedir. Bu nedenle CAE gelişmeden önce önlem alınması önem taşımaktadır. Alınacak önlemlerden en basit ve maliyeti en az olan uygulama ise cerrahi el antisepsisidir. Cerrahi el antisepsisinde temel olarak geleneksel yöntem cerrahi el yıkama ve alkol bazlı el antiseptiği ile ovalama tekniği olmak üzere iki yöntem kullanılmaktadır. Bu yöntemlerin birbirine göre avantaj ve dezavantajları bulunmakta olup bunların bilinmesi, etkin antisepsinin sağlanabilmesi için de yöntemin doğru şekilde uygulanması önem taşımaktadır. Bu derleme makalede cerrahi el antisepsisinde kanıt temelli yaklaşımlar ve kullanılan yöntemler ile ilgili karşılaştırmalı verilerin incelenmesi amaçlandı.
