Pandeminin Maskesini Düşürmek: COVID-19 Kısıtlamalarına Karşı Protesto Hareketleri

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemisinin gizli amaçlar için tasarlanmış bir plan, ya da suiistismal edilmek üzere uydurulmuş bir hastalık, sıradan bir grip olduğuna yönelik inançlar dünya çapında önemli sayıda insan tarafından paylaşılmaktadır. Bu söylentiler pandeminin en başından itibaren sosyal medya aracılığıyla geniş kitlelere hızla yayılırken, aldatılmaya duyulan öfke bazı ülkelerde protestolara yol açmıştır. Bu protestolar, uygun koşullar sağlandığında bilime ve onun rehberliğinde hareket eden otoritelere olan güvensizliğin nasıl kolayca kitlesel bir infiale dönüşebileceğini ve toplumsal bir hareketi ateşleyebileceğini göstermiştir. Hareketin öncüleri, hak ve özgürlükler için savaşırken gücü elinde tutan seçkinlerin aldatmacalarını ortaya çıkardıklarını iddia eden içinde radikallerin de bulunduğu gruplar olmuşlardır. Belirsizlikten ve uygun siyasi iklimden yararlanan, etkili ağlara ve yeterli kaynaklara sahip söz konusu gruplar bu anlatının gücüyle hareketi kitlesel bir küresel fenomen haline getirmeyi başarmışlardır. Bu makalede yakın zamanda Kanada’da “özgürlük konvoyu” eylemiyle gücünü bir kez daha gösteren söz konusu protesto hareketlerinin gelişim süreci ve temel nitelikleri incelenmiştir. Bu tür protesto hareketleri, destekçilerini harekete geçiren ahlaki şoktan başlayarak, duygular, anlamlar ve ağlar üzerinden bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla değerlendirildiğinde onların hem kendilerinden önceki benzer/yakın hareketlerden ödünç aldıklarını ileri götürmeyi, hem de gelecekteki başka protestolar için temel teşkil edebilecek altyapı ve ulusötesi ağlar yaratmayı başarmış oldukları görülür.
