1. About the Journal

1. The Journal of Social and Humanities Research (SOBBIAD) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published under the auspices of the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University.
2. The journal aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge by publishing original, high-quality research based on sound scientific methods in the fields of the social sciences and humanities.
3. Since 2025, the journal has been indexed in ULAKBİM TR Dizin.

2. Publication Frequency and Type

1. SOBBIAD is published biannually, with two issues each year:

   1-June Issue

   2-December Issue

2. The journal is an international, peer-reviewed, electronic academic journal.
3. SOBBIAD publishes scholarly manuscripts in Turkish and English.

4. The journal accepts only the following types of submissions:

   1-Research Articles

   2-Review Articles

   3-Book Reviews

3. Publication Policy and Peer Review Process

1. All manuscripts are evaluated in accordance with the principles of scholarly publishing and publication ethics.
2. Submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous editorial and peer review process conducted by section editors and expert reviewers based on scientific merit, originality, and methodological quality.
3. The journal operates a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.

4. Open Access Policy

1. sobbiad is an open access journal.
2. All published content is freely and permanently available to readers without subscription or access fees.
3. No submission, processing, review, or publication fees are charged to authors at any stage of the publication process.

5. Publication History

1. The journal published its inaugural issue in 2000.
2. With its long-standing publication history and commitment to academic continuity, SOBBIAD continues to serve as an important scholarly platform in the field of the social sciences.
3. The journal has been published under various titles throughout its history and has continued publication under the title Journal of Social and Humanities Research (sobbiad) since 2015.
