1. General Principles-Research and Publication Ethics
Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Research (SOBBİAD) is a peer-reviewed and scientific journal published electronically twice a year, in June and December. The publication language of the journal is Turkish and English. The journal aims to publish theoretical and/or applied articles that make original contributions to the field of social sciences. Articles submitted to the journal must not have been published anywhere before and must not have entered the evaluation process for publication elsewhere. If it is detected that an application has been made for publication elsewhere, or that the same or similar article has been published in another journal, the article will be removed from the evaluation process.

Articles submitted to the journal must comply with Research and Publication Ethics. Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Research takes into account the International Standards for Editors and Authors of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Ethics committee approval must be obtained for research submitted to the journal that requires ethics committee approval (all kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using survey, interview, focus group study, observation, experiment, interview techniques; research using humans and animals (including materials/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes; clinical research on humans; research on animals and retrospective studies in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law). Information about this authorisation (name of the committee, date and number) should be given in the method section and also on the first page of the article as a footnote. In case presentations, information on the signature of the informed consent/assent form must be included in the article.

For intellectual and artistic works, copyright regulations must be complied with and the compliance must be stated in the article. For the use of scales, questionnaires, photographs, etc. belonging to others, permission must be obtained from the owners and stated in the article.

Application to the journal, evaluation, publication process and notifications are made via https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/sobbiad address in TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM JournalPark system. The article to be uploaded to the system in the application must be organised in accordance with the principles, format requirements, citation procedures and spelling rules of the language in which it is written, and the Copyright Transfer Form must be filled out and signed by all authors.

In accordance with the plagiarism policy of SOBBİAD, all articles submitted to the journal are subjected to a similarity report with the iThenticate programme before they are submitted for peer review. The upper limit for similarity is 20%.

If the similarity report is higher than 20%, the article; i) ii) may be rejected by the editor, ii) may be sent to the author for editing by the editor, iii) may be sent to the editorial board for evaluation.

Application to the journal is free of charge. No fee is charged during or after the application, evaluation, publication stages.

Since communication with authors and referees is carried out through the https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/sobbiad address of the journal in the DergiPark system, authors and referees should check the e-mail address they specify as the contact address.

In the first evaluation stage, the articles submitted to the journal are checked for the presence of the information required to be entered into the DergiPark system, the article file and the copyright transfer form, and whether they comply with the Journal's Article Publication Principles and Writing Rules, and the applications that are not found suitable are rejected. In the preliminary evaluation stage, the eligible applications are examined by the editors and the editorial board in terms of their scope, journal policy, writing rules, original contribution to the field, and scientific expression. If the manuscripts meet the preliminary evaluation criteria, they are sent to two referees. In case two referees give opposite opinions, a third referee may be consulted. In addition, in cases where the referee contribution is insufficient, the editor/field editor may send the manuscript to a third referee. The identities of the referees and the author are kept confidential in this process in accordance with the double blind refereeing policy

The evaluation period for referees is at least 10 days from the date the referee accepts the evaluation. Referee reports are sent to the authors of the articles whose referee evaluation is completed by e-mail via the system. If a correction is requested, the corrected article and the correction report must be uploaded to the system within 10 days from the date the referee reports are sent to the author. In line with the referee reports, the editors and the editorial board decide whether the article should be published or not. Articles deemed suitable for publication are taken to the typesetting stage. The scientific responsibility of the articles in the journal belongs entirely to the author. After publication in the journal, all copyrights of the article belong to the Journal of Social and Humanities Research. Authors whose work is published are not paid royalties. Articles published in the journal cannot be published and reproduced elsewhere without the approval of the Journal of Social and Humanities Research.

In accordance with the open access policy of the journal, the content of the journal, including the full texts of the articles, is available free of charge to all users. Published works can be quoted by citing the source within the framework of scientific and ethical rules.

Authors submitting articles to the journal for evaluation are deemed to have accepted the publication principles of the journal. The responsibilities of the articles that do not comply with these rules and principles belong to the author or authors. The manuscripts of the authors who violate the journal's operation and rules in every process of the publication stage are returned to the authors regardless of the stage of publication. The authorised board of the journal has the right to reject articles that do not comply with the specified rules and principles during or after the evaluation process.

2. Submission of Articles
Manuscripts must be saved in ‘Word’ format and uploaded to the Journal of Social and Humanities Research page in the TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM DergiPark system by logging in at https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/sobbiad.
A signed and scanned Copyright Transfer Form must be uploaded to the system together with the article file. Title, Institution, e-mail, Orcid, City, Country information of the authors should be included in the article files. If the study is found suitable for referee evaluation, all information about the author is deleted by the Editor in the Referee Copy file and the file properties are anonymised.

Author information should be entered into the system completely, in case of more than one author, all authors should be added by paying attention to the author order from the ‘add author’ option and the contact author should be specified. In accordance with ethical principles, authors cannot be added, removed or author ranking changes can not be made after the article application. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) number to be obtained from https://orcid.org/, which is internationally valid, should also be entered in the author information.

3. Spelling rules and stylistic features
- Times New Roman should be preferred as the font and all text should be justified. Paragraph indentation should be set to 1 cm.
- The page layout should be arranged so that the paper size is 16.5 cm wide by 24 cm high. (For this arrangement: Page Layout-Border Margins-Special Margins-Paper)
- Manuscripts will be written based on this paper size, in-text page margins will be standard top, bottom, right and left 2.5 cm and the entire text will be 1 line spacing including headings. There will be no space (enter) between paragraphs, only 6 spaces will be left before the title. This order is also valid for figures, graphs, tables, etc.
- Each article should be preceded by an abstract in Turkish and English. The abstract should include the purpose, important findings and conclusions of the article. The abstract and abstract section of the article should be written in 9 font size, with a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 200 words. Abstract and abstract text should be written in a single paragraph and 3-6 keywords that will define the content of the article should be included at the bottom.
- All headings and text should be written in 11 font size and single-spaced.
- Footnotes given at the bottom of the page and tables, graphics, figures and similar references will be in 9 pt.
- The text page limit is set as 25 pages including everything (graphics, figures, references, etc.).

- Reference citation is determined as APA method. References within the article should be written between brackets (surname of the author or authors, year of publication of the source: page numbers) in the text instead of footnotes, and explanatory notes should be indicated at the bottom of the page in 9 pt.
- The subject headings in the article should be indicated with numbers such as 1, 2, 3, and subheadings should be indicated with decimal data such as 1.1, 1.2, 1.3. The dimensions of the journal and the general design should be taken into consideration in the preparation of tables and figures. Figures and tables should be given title and sequence numbers and should be centred on the page. Titles should be placed above the tables and graphs and below the figures. Equations should be given a sequence number. The sequence number should be in brackets and at the far right of the page.
- Introduction and Conclusion headings will not be numbered, numbering will be given from the first heading after the introduction.
- Table 1, Figure 1 headings should be in bold, the rest should be capitalised. Examples of tables, figures, graphs and similar titles: Table 7: Agreements between Turkey and the Turkish Republics; Graph 23: Turkey's Imports by Country Groups; Figure 1: A Sample Real Estate Value Map
- In the cells within the table, the texts should be written in 10 point font, left-top aligned.
- The width of pictures and figures should not exceed 12 cm and the height should not exceed 18 cm.

4. Footnote and Bibliography Layout
References within the study should be made according to the in-text citation method. In the text, footnotes should be used only for explanations. References in the text should be written in brackets as follows.

Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Research (SOBBİAD) adopts the principles of academic publication ethics determined by national (Ulakbim TR Index Principles of Scientific Publication Ethics) and international (Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) etc.) organisations at all stages of the publication process and ensures that authors, reviewers and editors act in accordance with these principles. SOBBİAD attaches great importance to ethical principles and publication policy in terms of the production and development of qualified and original academic studies and the scientific knowledge on which these studies are based.

Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Research (SOBBİAD) aims to publish on the axis of these general criteria by adhering to the following principles for authors, editorial board, editors and referees.
1. Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
1.1. Publication Decisions: The Editorial Board of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities Research is collectively responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal will be published. The Editorial Board promotes academic integrity by following the Guidelines for Good Publication Practice defined by COPE. The Editorial Board reserves the right to withdraw manuscripts that it considers to be in breach of ethical rules and that are found to be highly similar in the iThenticate plagiarism prevention software. The refereeing of the article by the editorial board does not constitute a commitment to publication. Even if the referee process is positive, the decision of the editorial board is required for publication.
1.2. Objectivity: The Editorial Board evaluates articles based on their academic and scientific content, regardless of the author's race, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality and political philosophy.
1.3. Plagiarism: Since plagiarism is an indicator of a low quality journal or a journal without a quality control system, the Editorial Board takes the issue of plagiarism very seriously and follows a strict policy on this issue.
The Editorial Board guarantees the originality of written works by uploading them to the iThenticate plagiarism prevention program before publication. In addition, the Editorial Board always investigates allegations of plagiarism and misconduct regarding published articles. If an article has plagiarised other works, or has used third-party copyrighted material without permission or with incomplete notification, the Editorial Board reserves the right to take various actions, including withdrawing the article and reporting the issue to the department head, dean and/or relevant academic institutions at the institution where the author works.

The Editorial Board considers it a mandatory application condition that an article sent to our journal has not also been submitted to the referee process of another journal.

1.4. Confidentiality: The Editorial Board guarantees the confidentiality of all materials sent to the journal and all correspondence with the referees, unless otherwise agreed with the relevant author and referees.

2. Author's Responsibilities
2.1.Pre-Publication: Authors should submit their original manuscripts to our journal. Authors should not submit the same manuscript to the referee process of more than one journal at the same time. Submitting the same article to multiple journals at the same time constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable. Authors are responsible for the authenticity and verification of the sources. Authors may be asked to provide research data supporting their work for review by the Editorial Board and/or to comply with the journal's open data requirements. The author reserves the right to withdraw his/her manuscript until the publication decision is made, provided that he/she notifies the editorial board of the journal.
2.2.Conflict of Interest: All authors should disclose in the manuscript any financial or personal relationships with other people or organizations that could be perceived to improperly influence their work.2.3. Plagiarism: Plagiarism can be done in different ways such as presenting someone else's work as one's own, copying someone else's work as it is or by changing its form without citation, and appropriating the results of research done by others. Plagiarism, no matter how it is done, constitutes unethical behavior and is unacceptable.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers
SOBBİAD respects the blind review process.
3.1 Confidentiality: Reviewers are obliged to keep the articles they receive confidential and not to use the information obtained from the review process for their personal benefit. Reviewers should not share their reports or information about the manuscript with others and should not communicate directly with the authors without the editor's permission.

3.2. Ethical Issues: The reviewer should be attentive to potential ethical issues in the manuscript and bring them to the editor's attention. This includes substantive similarity and overlap between the manuscript under review and any other published work of which the reviewer has personal knowledge.

3.3 Objectivity: Refereeing will be conducted in an objective manner. Personal criticism of the author or authors is considered inappropriate. Reviewers should consult with the editor before agreeing to consider a manuscript in which they have a potential conflict of interest arising from a competitive, collaborative or otherwise relationship or connection with any of the authors.

If the similarity report is higher than 20%, the article:
1- The editor may send it to the author for editing.
2- It may be rejected by the editor.
3- It can be sent to the editorial board for evaluation.

Articles deemed suitable for publication are taken to the typesetting stage, and articles deemed unsuitable for publication are rejected. The scientific responsibility of the articles in the journal belongs to the author. All copyrights of the article after its publication in the journal belong to the Journal of Social and Humanities Research. No royalties are paid to the authors of published works. Articles published in the journal cannot be published and reproduced elsewhere without the approval of the Journal of Social and Humanities Research.

In accordance with the open access policy of the journal, the content of the journal, including the full texts of the articles, is available free of charge to all users. Published works can be quoted by citing the source.

SOBBİAD does not charge any fee.
