Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate what kind of online hotel review content is attached much more importance while domestic tourists search information about the hotels. It is also investigated that those contents would be grouped under which dimensions. The population of this research consists of the domestic tourists stays in the hotels located in Çeşme district of İzmir. Purposive sampling as one of the nonprobability sampling method was utilized in this research. The total number of 388 survey form was collected through both face to face interviews and electronically. The dimensions, regarding the importance of the online hotel review contents, determined by exploratory factor analysis. T-tests were used in order to understand whether there is a significance difference between the factors’ means depend on the participants gender and users’ level. Correlation analysis was used in order to find out the relationship between factors’ means and participants age. The findings of this research showed that these contents can be collected under four factors. These factors are listed as “staff”, “food and beverage”, “hotel overall” and “rooms” according to their importance at the tourists’ hotel choice decisions
