Social Marketing Literature Review: Major Issues Addressed Within Principles and Techniques (1971-2014)
Abstract
This study aims to interpret the papers, published in Web of Science (WOS) between the date the social concept has born and present, in the context of classification formed by Lee and Kotler (2011). By doing so, it manifests the dominant research trends in time. Within this context, all the accessible papers in the related database were reviewed and classified. The main pivotals of the papers were assessed within the essential subjects in social marketing and the changes in the fields of study were determined. According to the results, most of the papers were in “health-related behaviors” while there were no paper in “finance behavior”.
