The Kazan Tatar Theatre From the Begining To 1917

Abstract

The Kazan Tatar Theatre consists of a very rich historical background. The earliest national theatre plays are seen in the folk plays called Sabantuy. And in its modern concept (meaning), the Kazan Tatar Theatre is the Pioneer of the improvement among the Turkish people under the Russian sovereignity. By 1917, the Kazan Tatar theatre enlighted the people by forming the Lightening Current, in expanding this idol which once became of Idil-Uralic Tatarians, in training and educating the audiences, plays the greater role in rising of their cultures. In the meantime, it is really essential for us to admitt the theatre as an entertainment feature. When we looked in general in Kazan Tatar Theatre with the Western eye, the first drama play (the piece) is ‘A desperate Maiden-Girl’ by A. Ilyasi in 1887. The period until 1906 can be named as ‘An Era of Amateurs, from then on ends with the participation of Professional theatre bands. (groups.) With the begining of the Professional process in Kazan Tatar Theatre, the groups start to interest in the problems of the period. The repertoir that is the basis of ideas or cultures, is the focus point in every term. The theatre of this term, the struggles of the director, the play of an actor and an actress, has got a lot of knowledge about it. The press plays an inportant role in the improvement of Kazan Tatar Theatre. There were many theatre critics and the articles helped to contribute the theatre for adapting the Tatarian people and developing of it. The Kazan Tatar theatre even plays a considerable role in giving new and rich theater pieces as concept of principle and of literature
