Abstract

Osmanlı şehirlerinde; ulaklara verilen menzil beygirleri, kılavuz ücretleri, şehre uğrayan yüksek kamu görevlilerinin ağırlanması, merkezden istenilen bazı vergilerin karşılanması ve bu gibi mühim işler için yapılan masraflar, belirli dönemlerde hesaplanarak halktan talep edilmektedir. Yapılan harcamalar bir deftere kaydedilmekte, esnafın ve köylünün yükleneceği masraf miktarları bu defterde pay edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Bursa kadı sicilleri içerisinde geçen 18. yüzyıla ait Bursa şehri masraf defterlerindeki veriler değerlendirilmektedir. Sunulan bilgiler, halkın yüklendiği çeşitli harcamaları ortaya koyması açısından önemli görülebilir

Expenses of the Town Portioned out of the People of Bursa in 18th Century

Abstract

In Ottoman towns, the expenses spended for pilotage, post-station horses devoted state couriers, entertainments of high officials visited the town, ensuring some taxes demanded by capital, and other important items are calculated in certain periods and demanded from the public. These expenses are recorded in a book and portions of shopkeepers and farmers separated in it. In this study, data in the book of expenses of Bursa dated 18th century in judge records of Bursa are analysed. The conclusions may seem important from the point of putting into light the expenses that the people undertook.
