Abstract

Orta çağ şehir surları içinde, sur mimarisini oluşturan beden duvarları, şehir kapıları ve kulelerin yanında zindan bölümleri de yer almaktadır. Bursa mimarlık tarihinin önemli yapıları arasında bulunan şehir surlarında, kazı çalışmalarıyla ortaya çıkartılan zindan, savunmanın güç olduğu şehrin batı ucunda hisar gibi iyi korunan bir alanda tasarlanmıştır. Bursa zindanının antik şehir dokusunun bir parçası olarak belgelenmesi ve bulgular ışığında değerlendirilerek, şehir surlarında ve kalelerde bulunan diğer zindan yapıları arasındaki yerinin belirlenmesi çalışmanın ana amacını oluşturmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, kültürel mirasın korunması amacıyla, zindanın müze ve sosyal tesis fonksiyonuyla yeniden kullanımını sağlayacak restorasyonu için hazırlanan rölöve ve restitüsyon çalışmaları anlatılacaktır.

Documentation and Restitution of Bursa Dungeon within the Context of City Wall Dungeons

Abstract

The medieval town within the walls, the walls that form the architecture of the main walls, the dungeon is located beside the city gates and towers. On the city walls among the important buildings of Bursa’s history of architecture, dungeon that was discovered by excavations, was designed where it was difficult to defend at the west end of the city. The main purpose of this work is to determine the place of Bursa Dungeon among other dungeons within the city walls and castles with the help of documentation of Bursa Dungeon as part of the fabric of the ancient city and evaluation in the light of findings. In this context, in order to protect the cultural heritage, survey and restitution projects that were prepared fort he restoration project as the re-use of the dungeon as museums and recreational facilities will be described.
