Abstract

Her ne kadar piktogramlar ve ideogramlar, sistematik alfabelerin öncülü olarak kabul görülürlerse de bunlar, yazının yaygınlaşmasından sonraki süreçte de işlevlerini yitirmemişlerdir. Aksine, kendilerine ilave olunan monogram ve diyagramlarla birlikte farklı bir görsel ifade örgüsü oluşturmuşlardır. Ne var ki bunların temsil işlevleri insanın, tarihsel seyir içerisinde hayatı algılama, anlama ve anlamlandırma biçiminde gösterdiği değişikliklere paralel anlam kaymalarına uğramıştır. Ülkemizdeki "İnsan ve Toplum Bilimleri" alanlarının Metafiziğe karşı takındığı mesafeli duruşu da, pek çok görsel ifade aracını kendi temsiliyet bağlamından kopartmış, bunların sembol işlevine sahip olabilecekleri göz ardı edilerek çoğu kez seküler simge veya işaret temsiliyetlerinin izahıyla yetinilmiştir. Aslolan sembol temsiliyetleri ise hurafeler manzumesi şeklinde algılanır olmuştur. Dolayısıyla bu kategori indirgemesi sadece ilgili görselin aslolan sembol işleviyle tekabül ettiği hakikatin anlaşılmasını engellemekle kalmamış, aidiyet hatalarını da beraberinde getirmiştir. Ancak René Guénon, Ananda K. Coomaraswamy ve Titus Burckhardt gibi adları daha da çoğaltılabilecek entellektüelin başını çektiği Gelenekçi Ekol sayesinde geleneğin kaynağı ve dolayısıyla sembolün aslolan kategorisi yeniden ayırt edilebilir olmuştur.

According to Traditionalist Ecole Perspective Representation Categories of Symbol, Emblem and Sign

Abstract

Although pictograms and indeograms are accepted as premise of systematic alphabet, these were not lost their function after widespread duration of writing. Contrary, they create a different visual expressions mesh with monograms and diagram which added themselves. However, these representations have had a semantic shift parallel to depicted changes in humankind's perception, understanding and interpretation of life. In our country, "Human and Social Sciences" field in the persona to distant attitude toward metaphysics, have sever many visual means of expression of the self-representation of contex, many times contented with the explanation of the secular emblem or sign represantation by ignoring that they can have their symbol finctions. The main symbol representations has been detected in the form of the system superstitions. Therefore, this category of reduction not only prevent the understanding of the truth that corresponds with the appropriate visual symbol function of the main principle, it has brought a sense of belonging errors. By the pioneers of the traditional school, René Guénon, Ananda K. Coomaraswamy, Titus Burckhardt and many more, the source of tradition hence primary cathegory of the symbol has been redeemed distinguishable.
