Dış Ticaretin Finansmanında Göçmen Gönderilerinin Rolü: Türkiye Örneği

Abstract

Yarım asırlık bir süreçten bu yana, gelişmekte olan ülkelerden gelişmiş ülkelere doğru önemli miktarda göç hareketi yaşanmaktadır. Mavi yakalı işçi göçüne de, son yıllarda beyin göçünün eklendiği görülmektedir. Gelişmekte olan ülkelerin ekonomik yapılarına bakıldığında, çoğunlukla ithalata dayalı bir büyüme stratejisinin yürütüldüğü sonucuyla karşılaşılmaktadır. Bu çerçevede de dış ticaret açıkları kronik hal almıştır. Gelişmiş ülkelere yönelik göçün, gelişmekte olan ülkeler için ayrıca önemi de mevcuttur. Çünkü ithalata bağımlılıkla birlikte oluşan kronik yüksek dış ticaret açıklarının kapatılmasında, yurt dışında çalışan göçmen vatandaşların havaleleri önemli işleve sahiptir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye örneğinde, ithalatın finansmanında ve dış ticaret açıklarının kapatılmasında yurt dışında çalışan göçmen işçilerin gönderilerinin etkisine odaklanılmıştır.
