Abstract

Sanat ve ideoloji arasındaki ilişki modern edebiyat incelemelerinde en çok tartışılan konulardandır. Özellikle tiyatro metinleri, sahneleme aracılığıyla izleyiciye doğrudan dikte eden bir yapıya sahip olduğundan sanat ve ideoloji araştırmaları için elverişli bir alan sağlar. Tiyatro, yalnızca estetik bir anlatım biçimi olmanın ötesinde, düşünsel, siyasal ve toplumsal etki gücü yüksek bir ifade aracı olarak değerlendirilebilir. Dolayısıyla tiyatro metinlerinin, yazıldıkları dönemin düşünce dünyasıyla ideolojik ortamını diğer edebî türlerden daha belirgin biçimde yansıttığı dile getirilebilir.
Turhan Koç’un Edebiyat ve İdeoloji Bağlamında Türk Tiyatrosunda Toplumculuğun Görünümleri (1946-1960) başlıklı çalışması, tiyatronun söz konusu ideolojik boyutundan yola çıkarak Türk tiyatrosunun belirli bir döneminde toplumculuğun yansımalarına odaklanır. Bu doğrultuda sanat ve ideoloji arasındaki ilişkiden yola çıkılarak genelde Türk edebiyatı, özelde Türk tiyatrosu için “toplumculuk” etrafında özgün bir tartışıma yürütülür. Bu yazıda söz konusu eserin tanıtılarak kuramsal çerçevesiyle temel çıkarımlarının ana hatlarıyla incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Manifestations of Socialism in Turkish Theater in the Context of Literature and Ideology (1946-1960)

Abstract

The relationship between art and ideology is one of the most debated topics in modern literary studies. Theater texts, in particular, provide a fertile ground for research on art and ideology, as they have a structure that dictates directly to the audience through staging. Theater can be considered not only an aesthetic form of expression but also a means of expression with a high intellectual, political, and social impact. Therefore, it can be argued that theater texts reflect the ideological environment and intellectual world of the period in which they were written more clearly than other literary genres.
Turhan Koç's study, titled Manifestations of Socialism in Turkish Theater in the Context of Literature and Ideology (1946-1960), focuses on the reflections of socialism in Turkish theater during a specific period, based on the aforementioned ideological dimension of theater. In this vein, starting from the relationship between art and ideology, a unique discussion is conducted around “socialism” for Turkish literature in general and Turkish theater in particular. This article aims to introduce the aforementioned work and examine its theoretical framework and main conclusions in broad strokes.
