Anti-Kahramanın Gri Bilgeye Dönüşümü Ve Sinema: Baba Filmi

Antik zamanlardan güncel yaşama kadar birçok anlatının içinde kısmen ya da tam anlamıyla örneğini görebileceğimiz anti-kahraman, dikkat çekici özelliklere sahiptir. İyi ve kötü davranışları tek bir kişide toplayan; sisteme ve otoriteye karşı çıkan; bunu yaparken kendine özgü ahlaki kurallar belirleyen bir tip oluşu, onun bu farklı özellikleri arasında yer alır. Epik kahramanının doğuşu ve gelişmesi her ne kadar fiziksel ilerlemeler ve mücadelelere dayalı ise anti-kahramanın serüveni de aynı ölçüde psikolojiktir. Başka bir ifadeyle epik destan kahramanı hareketin; anti-kahraman düşüncenin ürünüdür. Çünkü bireyin anti-kahramana dönüş süreci genellikle belirli psişik süreçlerle gerçekleşir. Bu süreç sonunda ise onu artık hayatın işleyişini çözen; yaşamın kurallarını esnetebilen; genel toplumsal ve ahlaki yapıyı dönüştüren güce sahip gri bir bilge olarak tanımlamak yerinde olacaktır. Modern yaşamın ve dijitalleşmenin insanlığı düşünceye hapsetmesinin, anti-kahraman tipolojisinin sinemada popüler hale gelmesinde büyük bir etkisi vardır. Sinema filmlerinde çok sayıda varyantı olan anti-kahraman tipinin gri bilge tipine dönüştüğü örnekler de ayrıca dikkat çeker. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmada Mario Puzo’nun romanından aynı adla sinemaya uyarlanan Baba film serisi için ana karakterler üzerinden bir çözümleme yapılacaktır.

The anti-hero, whose examples can be seen partially or fully in many narratives from ancient times to the present day, possesses striking characteristics. These include embodying both good and bad behavior in a single individual; opposing the system and authority; and establishing their own unique moral codes. While the birth and development of the epic hero are based on physical advancements and struggles, the anti-hero's journey is equally psychological. In other words, the epic hero is a product of action; the anti-hero is a product of thought. This is because the process of an individual transforming into an anti-hero usually occurs through specific psychic processes. At the end of this process, it would be appropriate to define them as a grey wise who understands the workings of life, can bend its rules, and possesses the power to transform the general social and moral structure. The fact that modern life and digitalization have imprisoned humanity in thought has had a significant impact on the popularization of the anti-hero typology in cinema. Examples where the anti-hero type, which has numerous variants in films, transforms into the grey wise type are also noteworthy. In this context, this study will analyze the The Godfather film series, adapted from Mario Puzo's novel of the same name, through the lens of its main characters.
