The aim of this study is to adapt the Cutting Movement Assessment Score (CMAS), which predicts the risk of lower extremity injury in multidirectional sports disciplines that frequently involve cutting movement, into Turkish. In the study, translation and back-translation of the directive was performed. The directive was evaluated in terms of clarity with expert opinions. After expert opinion, it was determined that the I-CVI value was in the range of 0.80-1.00, and the S-CVI value was 0.96. The raters scored 250 video recordings independently from each other and completed the training processes on the scoring system. Then, in order to evaluate the cutting movement of the sample (n=51, age: 24.61±5.05 years) camera recordings of each participant were taken in accordance with the test protocol. The camera recordings were evaluated by the raters independently with a free video-based image analysis program (Kinovea) twice, with an interval of 1 month. In statistical analyses, descriptive data and intra-class correlation coefficients were determined. While the average score given by Rater 1 in the test measurement was 5.04±1.72, re-test measurement was 4.98±1.71 and the intra-rater-in-class correlation coefficient was 0.902. Rater 2's values were 4.81±1.57, 4.72±1.53 and 0.975, respectively. The inter-rater correlation coefficient was 0.872 in the test, 0.911 in the re-test. The Turkish adaptation of the CMAS was provided. Thus, an assessment tool that guides the screening of the athletes who perform the cutting action at risk and the prediction and prevention of injuries has been presented to the use of Turkish researchers.
