The aim of this research was to analyse competitions of some men and women winner and loser athletes in 2019 Turkey Cadets Taekwondo Championships. In the research, the matches of a total of 7 favorites, 4 of which were for men and 3 for women, were recorded on video camera. A total of 84 matches were recorded in the first rounds, semifinals and finals. Afterwards, it was analyzed using ‘Taekwondo Match Analysis ’form developed by Mavi Var et al. (2015). Descriptive statistics were used for the analysis of the obtained data and mean values, frequency and percentage values were taken. Independent Samples Test was used in paired comparisons. When the findings were examined, it was seen that the penalties received by man athletes in the match showed meaningfulness compared to woman athletes (p<0.05). When the average values of the techniques applied by the winning man athletes in the match was examined, it was seen that they applied less techniques than the athletes who lost in the semifinals and finals, but they gained more points. In woman athletes, it was seen that the winning athletes scored more points than their competitors by applying more techniques in the semifinals and finals. As a result, it can be said that in the taekwondo competitions, men win matches by applying less but accurate techniques and women increase the chances of getting points by applying more techniques.
