Abstract
In this study, it was examined whether the communication skills of basketball classification referees had an effect on their problem-solving skills. Considering the sample of the study, 186 referees from basketballman referees who took active duty in the 2019-2020 season. Survey method was used as the research tool data collection tool. The research includes Communication Skills Scale (Korkut-Owen & Bugay, 2014), Problem Solving Scale (Heppner & Petersen, 1982; cited in: Şahin, Şahin & Heppner, 1993) and Personal Information Form. It was observed that the skill scale used in the study was highly reliable (, 909) and the problem solving scale was reliable (, 746). SPSS 22 program was used in the device analysis obtained from the research. After giving the frequencies of the data, follow-up frequency, normality, independent samples t-test, one-way variance, correlation and reg analysis were performed. Relationships between the demographic information of the referees participating in the study and their communication skills and problem solving skills were sought. Significant differences in communication skills and problem solving skills of basketball referees participating in the study. It has been observed that the communication skills and problem of basketball referees have been related and positive in all sub-past.
