When comparing the qualifications of university sports facilities to the opinions of academicians who work in higher education institutions in the Eastern Anatolia Region and provide sports education, a general screening method is used on this list. The research population consisted of 99 participants, 87 males and 12 females, with 214 participants in the survey, including 181 males and 33 females. "Personal Data Form" and "Sports Facility qualification survey" developed by researchers were used as data collection tools. The data of the study was used in the licensed SPSS 20 package program, and the percentage frequency test and chi-square test were used for their analysis. Participants were united in the opinion that sports facilities are not sufficient both numerically (53.5%) and in terms of tools and equipment (43.4%). In contrast, they stated that sports facilities are important in terms of teaching quality (95.9%) and that each department should have its own sports facilities (72.8%) in order to improve teaching quality. As a result, it was found that participants did not see sports facilities and equipment used for sports training at a sufficient level. It may be recommended to increase the quality and quantity of the tools used.
