First, a literature research was conducted, followed by an analysis of the attitude characteristic, expert advice was obtained, an item pool was constructed, and the scale was made ready for data collection. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), Cronbach Alpha (α), test-retest, Spearman Brown, and parallel form, AVE and CR reliability coefficients were utilized in the data analysis. Furthermore, item discrimination analysis (upper and lower 27 percent group comparison) was done, and it was established that the discriminating power of each scale item was adequate.
Results: According to the results of the analyses, the conformance of the scale's structure to the model, its validity, fit indices, and reliability were sufficient and excellent for measuring the attitude toward folk dances.
